Breaking Down Walls · Derribando las murallas

We tend to think we need a James Bond, a Rambo or Superman himself to tear down
the walls of injustice and exploitation
.

But sometimes, it just takes a woman! A "dangerous" one at that: armed with a vision, hope and the power of love.

Kelly's story from Boystown, Mexico will absolutely amaze you.

Shine Like the Stars!

I am absolutely addicted to this new song from Misty Edwards,
from her new album Only A Shadow.

I hope you enjoy this video from a recent live concert :-)

Jesus too shared in our humanity
so that by His death
He might break the power of him
who holds the power of Death

that is, the devil,
and free those who all their lives
were held in slavery
by their fear of Death.

Me persigue. Me ilumina. Y me fortalece.

Si no logras oír esa dulce voz

Si aún no te has dado cuenta

WHITNEY HOUSTON, REDEMPTION AND GRACE

Yesterday was a special day for all of the fans
of Whitney Houston, myself among them!

It was a celebration of the power of grace, of forgiveness and of redemption, to see her sing before some 4,000 people in Central Park. Most especially when she sang "I Look to You", the lead song of her new album, the first in 7 years. Lifting her hands to heaven, during a few moments she could barely keep going due to the overload of emotions she was feeling.

There, along with her: her mother and also Whitney's daughter (now reconcilled with her), both women witnesses of the tormentous years that threatened to finish off Whitney Houston, destroy her family and rob us of that still marvelous voice.

A voice that reminds us of the power of a real and living God, capable of hauling anyone who is destitute out of the deepest well. I'm also a witness of that Grace: He did the same for me.

El Muro · The Wall

VER EL VÍDEO AQUÍ - ¡NO TE LO PIERDAS!

Come close, listen to the Story,
About a Love more faithful than the morning.

The Father gave his only Son just to save us.

The earth was shaking in the dark,
All creation felt the Father's broken heart.
Tears were filling Heaven's eyes
The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died.

When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died,

The day that True Love died.

Search your heart you know you can't deny it;
Lose your life just so you can find it.
The Father gave his only Son just to save us.

The earth was shaking in the dark,
All creation felt the Father's broken heart
Tears were filling Heaven's eyes
The day that True Love died,

The day that True Love died.

When blood and water hit the ground,
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down.
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died...

Jesus is alive.
He rose again.

Come close, listen to the Story.

No juzguemos, ¡amemos!

Hola amig@s!

No juzguemos. AMEMOS.

JUDGE NOT

I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp...
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics, the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.

"And why's everyone so quiet,
So somber? Give me a clue."
"Hush, child," said He, "they're all in shock...
No one thought they'd be seeing you."

Were You There? · ¿Estabas allí?

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh were you there when they crucified my Lord?
(Oooh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble...)
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?

Were you there when they laid Him in the tomb?
Were you there when they laid Him in the tomb?
(Oooh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble...)
Were you there when they laid Him in the tomb?

But were you there when He rose from the grave?
Were you there when my Jesus rose from the grave?
(Oooh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble...)
Were you there when He rose from the grave?

Gracias, Amigo. Thank You, Master...

y dejó a Justo.

No solo. Afortunadamente, no solo.

Te he estado esperando...

Sound of Melodies

Sound of Melodies · Leeland

We who were called to be Your people
Struggling sinners and thieves
We’re lifted up from the ashes
And out came the song of the redeemed
The song of the redeemed
The song of the redeemed

Can You hear the sound of melodies
Oh, the sound of melodies
Rising up to You
Rising up to You, God
The sound of melodies
Oh, the sound of melodies
Rising up to You
Rising up to You, God

We have caught a revelation
That nothing can separate us from
The love we received through salvation
It fills Your daughters and Your sons
Your daughters and Your sons

The sound of Your love
The sound of Your love
Is what You’re hearing
The sound of Your sons
The sound of Your sons
You’ve won Your children
The sound of Your love
The sound of Your love
Is what You’re hearing
Your daughters in love
Your daughters in love
You’ve won Your children

The sound of melodies
Oh, the sound of melodies
Rising up to You
Rising up to You, God

Bono: el Karma vs la Gracia

BONO:
"You see, at the center of all religions is the idea of Karma. You know, what you put out comes back to you: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, or in physics -- in physical laws -- every action is met by an equal or an opposite one. It's clear to me that Karma is at the very heart of the Universe. I'm absolutely sure of it.

And yet, along comes this idea of Grace to upend all that "As you reap, so will you sow" stuff. Grace defies reason and logic. Love interrupts, if you like, the consequences of your actions, which in my case is very good news indeed, because I've done a lot of stupid stuff."

MICHKA (el entrevistador)
I'd be interested to hear that.

BONO
"That's between me and God. But I'd be in big trouble if Karma was going to finally be my judge. I'd be in deep shit. It doesn't excuse my mistakes, but I'm holding out for Grace. I'm holding out that Jesus took my sins onto the Cross, because I know who I am, and I hope I don't have to depend on my own religiosity."

MICHKA
The son of God who takes away the sins of the world. I wish I could believe in that.

BONO
"But I love the idea of the Sacrificial Lamb. I love the idea that God says: Look you cretins, there are certain results to the way we are, to selfishness, and there's mortality as part of your very sinful nature, and, let's face it, you're not living a very good life, are you? There are consequences to actions.

The point of the death of Christ is that Christ took on the sins of the world, so that what we put out did not come back to us, and that our sinful nature does not reap the obvious death. That's the point. It should keep us humbled ... It's not our own good works that get us through the gates of Heaven."

Reborn · Renacer

"Reborn" · Rebecca St. James

Thursday · Jueves

Master, for me this is always the saddest Thursday
of the year.

As I awoke this morning and talked with You, I suddenly realized that on That Thursday, 2,000 years ago, You also greeted the morning as I do today.

The difference, is that You would not return to bed; You would never sleep again.

As You awoke that Thursday morning, so long ago,
how did You feel?

You knew a friend would betray You. You knew You would be seized in the middle of the night. You knew that in the early morning they would whip you (almost to death).
And that by 3 pm the next day, You would be dead.

Tonight with great probability, I will go back to bed.
You did not.

Tú no podiste.

And tomorrow, I will stand before Your Cross in silence.
I will kiss and caress Your wounded Feet. In tears.

Thanking You, once more, for taking my place.Agradeciéndote, de nuevo, que tomaste mi lugar.
