Here are a few more photos of my recent Long Walk in Ireland. I also wanted to share the words to the following song with all of you, because it so perfectly defines what last weekend's walk with God was all about.
Knowing Him more deeply, being transformed into the image of Jesus Himself through Relationship with the Living Christ: this is my (magnificent) obsession!
I listened to the following song many times as I walked with Him through the poignantly beautiful Irish landscape...
What can I do with my obsession? With the things I cannot see Is there madness in my being? Is it wind that blows the trees? Sometimes You're further than the moon Sometimes You're closer than my skin And You surround me like a winter fog You've come and burned me with a kiss.
And my heart burns for You. And my heart burns.
And I'm so filthy with my sin I carry pride like a disease You know I'm stubborn God and I'm longing to be close. You burn me deeper than I know, I feel lonely without hope. I feel desperate without vision, You wrap around me like a winter coat. You come and free me like a bird.
And my heart burns for You. And my heart burns for You.

HELP! There are strange people in Madrid's Puerta del Sol, wierdos who go out on the streets to talk about Jesus in ways you've never heard at any Mass...

Ah, por cierto: su web... Oh, by the way, their web...
This absolutely beautiful song has been haunting me: in my thoughts and during entire days since I discovered it a month ago on Windfarm Radio. The lyrics (below) when combined with these images of my King, tear me apart.
And I can't stop the tears of gratitude and love that I feel for Him. I am so in love with You, Jesus of Nazareth.
* * * A Little Longer sung by Brian and Jenn Johnson
What can I do for You? What can I bring to You? What kind of song would you like me to sing?
'Cause I'll dance a dance for You pour out my love to You, What can I do for You, beautiful King?
'Cause I... can't thank You enough. I can't thank You enough What can I do for You? What can I bring to You? What kind of song would you like me to sing?
'Cause I'll dance a dance for You pour out my love to You What can I do for You, beautiful King?
'Cause I... can't thank You enough. I can't thank You enough. All of the words that I find... and I can't thank You enough. No matter how I try... I can't thank You enough.
Then I hear You sing to me:
"You...don't have to do a thing, just simply be with Me and let those things go 'cause they can wait another minute.
Wait...this moment is too sweet, would you please stay here with Me and love on Me a little longer?"
I hear You say...
"You... don't have to do a thing just simply be with Me and let those things go 'cause they can wait another minute.
Wait... this moment is too sweet, would you please stay here with Me and love on Me a little longer?
I'd love to be with you a little longer 'cause I'm in love with you..."
Yesterday was a special day for all of the fans of Whitney Houston, myself among them!
It was a celebration of the power of grace, of forgiveness and of redemption, to see her sing before some 4,000 people in Central Park. Most especially when she sang "I Look to You", the lead song of her new album, the first in 7 years. Lifting her hands to heaven, during a few moments she could barely keep going due to the overload of emotions she was feeling.
There, along with her: her mother and also Whitney's daughter (now reconcilled with her), both women witnesses of the tormentous years that threatened to finish off Whitney Houston, destroy her family and rob us of that still marvelous voice.
A voice that reminds us of the power of a real and living God, capable of hauling anyone who is destitute out of the deepest well. I'm also a witness of that Grace: He did the same for me.
A famous song here in Spain shouts out the catchy theme "¡Barcelona tiene poder!" (Barcelona is powerful, seductive, entrancing...) and this new video of Turisme de Barcelona shows that off quite well.
This is my adopted city, the creative place I love to live in.
I hope you enjoy this brief virtual visit, with its "Barcelona Magic"!
Dedicated to my sister Miel... Dedicado a mi hermana Miel... By Your Side Why are you striving these days Why are you trying to earn grace Why are you crying Let me lift up your face Just don't turn away
Why are you looking for love Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough To where will you go child Tell me where will you run To where will you run
And I'll be by your side Wherever you fall In the dead of night Whenever you call And please don't fight These hands that are holding you My hands are holding you
Look at these hands and my side They swallowed the grave on that night When I drank the world's sin So I could carry you in And give you life I want to give you life
(Chorus 2x)
Cause I, I love you I want you to know That I, I love you I'll never let you go
Come close, listen to the Story, About a Love more faithful than the morning. The Father gave his only Son just to save us.
The earth was shaking in the dark, All creation felt the Father's broken heart. Tears were filling Heaven's eyes The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died.
When blood and water hit the ground Walls we couldn't move came crashing down We were free and made alive The day that True Love died,
The day that True Love died.
Search your heart you know you can't deny it; Lose your life just so you can find it. The Father gave his only Son just to save us.
The earth was shaking in the dark, All creation felt the Father's broken heart Tears were filling Heaven's eyes The day that True Love died,
The day that True Love died.
When blood and water hit the ground, Walls we couldn't move came crashing down. We were free and made alive The day that True Love died...
